Year 2024 Policy Briefing

Policy Briefing: Enhancing Education Financing for Equity and Quality in Somalia, in Mogadishu in 21st November 2024
This policy brief suggests that in order to guarantee the efficient utilization of resources, it is necessary to implement targeted funding for marginalized groups, establish stronger partnerships with international donors and private entities, implement innovative financing models, such as education levies, and establish robust accountability mechanisms.
Critical priorities include the development of teachers, improved financial administration, and infrastructure that is gender-responsive. Somalia can establish a resilient, inclusive education system that supports sustainable national development and offers equitable learning opportunities to all by addressing these challenges.
